Visit timetaag.com, enter your registered email & password, select Admin role, and complete the Captcha.
2. How do employees log in to the ESS portal?
Employees use their Company ID, username, and password. They must select Employee role and complete Captcha.
3. What is the Company ID and where do I find it?
The Company ID is a unique code assigned to your company. It is shown in Global Settings and must be entered by employees during login.
4. I forgot my password. How do I reset it?
Click âForgot Passwordâ on the login page, enter your registered email, and follow the reset instructions sent by email.
5. Why is the system rejecting my login credentials?
Check that:
- You selected the correct role (Admin vs Employee).
- You entered the correct Company ID (for employees).
- Your account is active and not disabled.
6. Can multiple admins manage the same company account?
Yes. Multiple system users can be created with admin or manager roles via System Users â Users and Roles.
7. What roles and permissions are available in Timetaag?
Roles include Admin, Manager, Employee, with customizable access levels (attendance, leaves, devices, reports).
8. How do I update my profile and password?
Go to User Profile under Utilities, edit your details, and update password.

9. How do I add or update my company logo for reports?
Go to Global Settings â Company Logo. Upload an image (max 100×30 px). It appears in reports and the portal.
10. What is the impact of changing the Master Timezone?
It updates the default timezone for all employees and devices. Punch times will adjust accordingly.
11. How do I configure date format and default currency?
In Global Settings, select your preferred date format (DD/MM/YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY) and currency for payroll/billing.
12. What does âAuto Recalculate Dataâ mean and when should I use it?
It ensures attendance is recalculated automatically whenever shifts, leaves, outdoor entries, or holidays change.
13. What happens if I click Reinitialize Database?
It resets the system to its initial state and deletes all data. â Use only for new setups.
14. Can I enable or disable mobile punching globally?
Yes, in Global Settings â Allow Mobile Punching. This applies to all employees unless restricted by rules.
15. How do subscription renewal alerts work?
Set Subscription Renewal Alert Days in Global Settings. Notifications are sent before expiry.

16. How can employees request permission to use the mobile app?
Employees must send a permission request via the ESS app. Admins approve/reject in Employee App Permission Requests.
17. What is Selfie Verification and how does it work?
Employees take a selfie during punch. The system verifies it against their registered photo.
18. How does Geo-fencing restrict mobile punching?
Admins define a radius around a location. Employees can only punch within this boundary.
19. Can employees punch from any device or only approved devices?
Admins can restrict to approved devices (identified by IMEI/identifier). Unauthorized punches show as pending.
20. Why is an employeeâs mobile punch marked as âunauthorizedâ?
Because the punch was done from an unapproved device or app. Admin review is required.

47. How do I upload employees to a biometric device?
Select device â select employees â choose data type (fingerprint, face, card) â upload.

49. What is the difference between Raw Device Data and processed data?
- Raw Data: Direct logs from device.
